Bourgault Industries is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician or Technologist to lead quality initiatives, inspect products, and to work responsibly and independently in support of the overall effort to measure quality performance, resolve non-conformances, implement corrective & preventative actions and achieve continuous improvement in the company's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and report on finished unit quality and In-process quality audits
  • Work with suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues as well as new parts and vendor approval process
  • Perform inspections using MetraScan, Faro arm and other inspection tools
  • Measure and report on corporate quality performance
  • Review and analyze quality-related reports and data
  • Lead and assist with the resolution of internal quality problems
  • Support quality-related functions in production

Academic/Education Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma or similar background is an asset but not required
  • Manufacturing and/or supplier quality assurance experience would be an asset but is not required

Required Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles and tools
  • Strong computer skills (including familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word)
  • Able to think critically and creatively to solve problems
  • Possesses a high degree of self-awareness and analytical skills
  • Ability to see the "big picture" and act purposefully
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • Able to see the need for and utilize all relevant and available resources from various Bourgault teams
  • Possess a genuine interest in achieving corporate quality standards

Wage Range

$ $40.00 – Starting wage is dependent on experience.
