Position Summary :

Performs routine blood specimen collection and processing, specimen testing within the scope of practice, and assumes appropriate responsibility for problem solving and teaching. Reports to Team Leader; or designated general supervisor. Works primarily with adults and patient specimens. Must exhibit working knowledge of lab care standards for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients/specimens

Position Requirements:

• Demonstrated commitment to the values of service, responsible stewardship, community responsiveness and respect.
• OSMT certified in all core lab competencies for Technician Assistant.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with physicians, office personnel, and hospital co-workers.
• Certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
