CCO's Media team is at the heart of sharing the Gospel through many means. We produce engaging content that draws people into the New Evangelization and supports CCO's outreach on many fronts. CCO's Media Team Member- Video Production sees the potential to engage the world through the powerful video medium, and strategically uses resources to produce top-quality content. They bring an eye for the latest trends together with a heart for the mission. The Video Production Team Member works with individuals throughout the movement to capture moments and engage all audiences

WHAT DOES THIS POSITION DO FOR CCO?

• Manages video production process, including development of new features like production checklists, collaboration documents, etc.
• Effectively uses available resources to meet the goals of a project. Able to prioritize a variety of opportunities to deliver video projects that are best suited to the intended audience.
• Translates vision into storyboards and scripts.
• Builds a strong collaborative relationship with stakeholders, seeking to clearly understand their project goals and bring that vision to life.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

We're looking for people who:

• Experience Adobe Premiere
• Post-secondary education and experience in a related field is preferred
• Experience in filming and video creation
• Pronounced interest in the field of communications and related areas is key
• Must be eager to learn new skills or tools, and further develop existing expertise
• Looking for a team player who seeks collaboration with others, gives and receives feedback well, and can also work independently
• All employees of CCO are required to participate in the mission of the New Evangelization within the Catholic Church and work toward the propagation of the Gospel. This includes taking the initiative to lead CCO Catholic Faith studies, share the kerygma (through tools like the Ultimate Relationship booklet), and/or participation in the evangelization efforts of CCO, including opportunities to participate in CCO Missions.

• This position can be filled as a Responsibility Level 2 entry level position or as a Responsibility Level 3 position dependent upon the applicants qualifications and previous related work experience. 
  • The starting annual salary is minimum wage for Level 2 and $57,127.10 for Level 3, and are based on a 40 hour work week. Salaries increase with years of experience.

This position level is variable dependent on an individuals education, previous experience and level of production and independent work

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Entry level or Level 3 variable

REPORTS TO: Media and Marketing Manager

LOCATION: CCO National Headquarters in Ottawa;

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal Office Conditions
