Full-Time Bookkeeper

Serenity Pools & Landscaping is looking for a full-time Bookkeeper who is accurate, organized, and tech-savvy. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy structure, and want to be an essential part of a small but high-performing team then his role is for you.
What You'll Be Doing:
Bookkeeping & Financial Management
- Record and reconcile all financial transactions with accuracy and timeliness. At Serenity, we believe your workspace sets the tone: an organized desk reflects an organized mind, which leads to organized finances.
- Maintain daily bookkeeping using Sage50
- Manage AP/AR, vendor payments, utilities, and recurring expenses
- Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare trial balances
- Maintain general ledgers and produce accurate financial statements
- Prepare quarterly HST remittances with fully applied ITCs
- Organize documentation for annual tax returns throughout the year
- Complete government filings such as HST, payroll remittances, WCB, and other required compliance reports
Payroll & Timesheet Management (ADP)
- Create, maintain, and approve employee time sheets
- Verify hours, overtime, vacation balances, and job allocations
- Process payroll using ADP accurately and on schedule
- Maintain current employee records, classifications, and pay structures in ADP
- Handle ROEs, vacation accruals, and payroll compliance requirements
Project Reporting & Job Costing
- Produce accurate project-specific P&L statements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Provide financial insights and reporting to management to support decision-making
CRM, Excel & Google Suite
- Utilize and maintain company CRM for job tracking and client data
- Use Excel and Google Sheets for analysis, reporting, and financial tracking
- Prepare documents and manage files using Google Docs, Slides, and Drive
- Ensure data consistency and accuracy across CRM, spreadsheets, and financial systems
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain detailed, organized digital and physical financial records
- Assist with vendor communication, receipt management, and general office tasks
- Support management with ad-hoc reporting and internal projects
- Take on small extra duties that improve workflow and efficiency across the company
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience
- Strong experience with ADP Payroll
- Proficiency in Sage50
- Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, Excel, and Google Suite
- Understanding of HST remittances, ITCs, and payroll deductions
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy
- Ability to work independently without micromanagement
- Positive attitude, proactivity, strong communication skills, and a willingness to help where needed.
