Lakehead University invites applications for one (1) tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Finance
in the
Faculty of Business Administration
at the
Thunder Bay
campus. The academic rank of the appointment will be commensurate with the qualification of a successful candidate. The expected start date of the position is August 1, 2026.

The Faculty of Business Administration at Lakehead is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The Faculty offers the Honours Bachelor of Commerce and the Bachelor of Administration programs at the undergraduate level, the Masters of Science in Management and the Masters of Business Administration at the graduate level, and several certificates and diplomas. The Faculty is also one of the very few Canadian institutions that offers an International Dual Degree. Faculty members have a strong research record and publish in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations Management, and Strategic Management. The Faculty values its connections to the community and provides experiential learning opportunities to its students. The Finance major in the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program in the Faculty participates in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute University Affiliation Program.

The tenure-track position will involve an active program of scholarly research, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance, supervision of Masters students' research, and service contributions to the Faculty and the University.

Eligible candidates will have a Ph.D. in Finance (or be close to completion). A demonstrated record of research and teaching in Finance and experience with experiential learning and course development are highly desired. Experience with the CFA program and teaching graduate courses in Finance is an asset.
