Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law).SummaryResponsible for leading, planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of cross-functional employees engaged in the detection and elimination of fraudulent behavior.Team Scope19 direct reports / 600+ total FTEsPosition ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties may include, but are not limited to:Works with key internal areas and external regulators to address fraudulent activity.Prepares internal and external analyses and repots of investigative findings, trends, outcomes, and savings.Establishes process for establishing cases and assignment of cases to investigators.Establishes processes for handling referrals of suspected fraud and abuse from internal/external sources and tracking referrals to disposition.Leads and directs multiple functions and/or teams across the national SIU.Functions within the SIU include investigations, case intake and assignment, and data analysis.Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. Position RequirementsRequires a BA/BS in business administration, health care administration, criminal justice, nursing, contract administration, or related field and minimum of 10 years investigation, prosecution, or healthcare experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities and ExperiencesCurrent R.N. degree, FBI, HHA-OIG or Department of Justice experience, Law degree or Prosecution experience preferred.Fraud certification from HIAA or NHCAA, RN or JD certification preferred.Experience in complex, high dollar white collar and/or healthcare investigations strongly preferred.Experience with the FBI or District Attorneys office preferred.Knowledge of Plan policies and procedures in all facets of benefit programs management with heavy emphasis in negotiation preferred.For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $160,880 to $289,584.Locations:California; Cleveland, OH; Colorado; Illinois, Maryland; Massachusetts; Minnesota; Nevada; New Jersey; New YorkIn addition to your salary, Elevance Health offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
