Temporary Virtual Office Assistant (Remote – Greater Victoria)

$20/hr Full-time or Part-time (4–8 hrs/day)
Nov 17 – Dec 12 (with potential future seasonal work)
We're a small, locally owned home-services company in Victoria BC, proudly serving the region for 18+ years. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Virtual Office Assistant to provide short-term coverage while our admin manager is on medical leave. This position is fully remote, but candidates must live in the Greater Victoria area.
What You'll Do
- Answer calls and manage voicemail (RingCentral)
- Respond to customer emails (Outlook)
- Schedule jobs and coordinate staff (Jobber)
- Take payments over the phone or online
- Support general daily administrative tasks
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Creating and sending invoices
- Preparing quotes
- Coordinating with staff through Slack
- Familiarity with: Office 365, Jobber, Slack, Asana, RingCentral
What We're Looking For
- Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask
- Friendly, team-oriented, and professional
- Must have your own laptop and smartphone
Schedule & Term
- Training: Begins Nov 17, approx. 9am–5pm
- Work Term: Through approximately Dec 12
- Hours: 4–8 hours/day, Monday–Friday (flexible depending on workload)
- May turn into a recurring seasonal role in the spring (4-month term)
Compensation
- $20/hour, depending on experience
