We are seeking a compassionate and skilled registered psychologist or clinical social worker, with counselling experience and a special interest in supporting women's mental health. About The Role:
Our ideal candidate offers psychoeducation and support for life transitions and challenges uniquely affecting women, including infertility, pre- and post-natal changes, parenting stress, hormonal shifts, and the mental health impacts of menstrual-related mood concerns (e.g., PMDD) and peri/menopause. Experience in addressing co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, burnout, ADHD, and other common concerns related to women's health would be considered a strong asset. The right fit for our team will also share our clinic's commitment to leadership in neurodiversity-affirming care and demonstrate a passion for working collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
You will be working with both neurotypical and neurodivergent clients, with the opportunity to develop a caseload that reflects your clinical interests and areas of expertise. As a member of a private practice, you will also play an active role in working with our marketing and leadership team to grow awareness of your services and build a sustainable caseload.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting a combination of services aligned with per:
individual counselling;parent consultation and strategies - Offering personalized counselling and general assessments designed to support women's health and wellbeing.
- Maintaining morning and afternoon availability for counselling services
- Working with the marketing team to promote your services and build your caseload
- Maintaining a working knowledge of all services provided by McAtee Psychology
- Providing ideas on how to enhance the counselling process ideas to enhance the delivery and accessibility of women's health services
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Family and Couples Therapy, or a related field.
- Provisional or Full Registration with the
College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) - Current registration with the
Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW)
.
Experience
:
- Minimum 2 years working with females in a therapeutic setting
- Training and experience implementing multiple evidence-based therapeutic approaches
