With the continued growth in the industry, Scotlynn is currently hiring a Safety & Claims Administrator at our office in Vittoria, ON. This role is for detail-oriented professionals with strong analytical skills who excel both customer and staff interactions and are looking to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this opportunity is for you

THE ROLE

The Safety & Claims Administrator is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims filed by customers, or third parties, working to minimize company liability while ensuring fair settlements.

ABOUT YOU

Successful Scotlynn Candidates Have:

  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organization skills
  • Strong ability to effectively and efficiently record information in a database
  • Excellent computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks within the company
  • Investigating accident, injury, cargo, and liability claims efficiently
  • Ensuring accuracy in reports and claims documentation
  • Coordinating between drivers, insurance companies, Account Managers, and management
  • Addressing safety concerns and resolving claims effectively
  • Reviewing accident and claim trends to implement preventative measures
  • Using safety compliance and claims management software, such as Samsara
  • Managing multiple claims, safety audits, and training schedules simultaneously
  • Handling sensitive information regarding incidents and compliance

HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED WITH SCOTLYNN

  • Investigate and manage accident and freight claims
  • Coordinate with insurance providers, adjusters, and legal teams
  • Ensure timely reporting and documentation of incidents
  • Create detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions
  • Work with Safety & Logistics teams on liability concerns
  • Review and analyze accident trends to improve policies
  • Maintain records of claims, training sessions, accident reports, and compliance audits.
  • Act as a liaison between the company, insurance providers, and government agencies
  • Provide support to drivers regarding safety procedures and incident reporting
  • Keep leadership informed of safety trends and compliance risks
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, gather evidence, and make informed decisions regarding liability
  • Effectively identify root causes of claims and develop solutions to prevent future losses
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed by the Directing of Safety

YOUR COMMITMENT

  • This is a full-time, permanent role
  • Work in office from 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday
