Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to support our accounting team. This role involves assisting with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software platforms. Duties

  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Support account analysis and prepare reports for management review
  • Help with payroll processing and related documentation
  • Assist in budgeting activities and monitor expenses against budgets
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably using QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and accounts management
  • Experience with bank reconciliation and account analysis is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
