Role Description

This is a contract role for a Social Media Marketing Manager, located on-site in Ottawa, ON. The Social Media Marketing Manager will oversee the organization's social media presence by creating and implementing strategies across various platforms. Daily tasks include developing content, optimizing posts, engaging with the community, analyzing campaign performance, and collaborating with teams to align messaging with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Must be a student currently completing their studies and able to provide a letter confirming that the internship is required for completion of their program.
  • Proficiency in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO)
  • Strong skills in Communication and Content Strategy
  • Experience in Digital Marketing, including planning and executing marketing campaigns
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills to measure campaign success and optimize strategies
  • Understanding of the unique challenges faced by Black immigrants and refugees
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Relevant educational background in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus
