We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of
Senior Java API Developer
to join our dynamic team for our client, one of the
major banks.

Location Address:
3-4 days/week onsite Toronto downtown location

Contract Duration:
6 months
up to 2 years pending on performance

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of work experience as a Java developer with a preference for Java 8 or 11. experience building scalable, enterprise level technology stacks with Java but ideally with a broad set of tools
  • extensive experience working with
    Spring Boot
    framework and
    NoSQL
    databases such as
    MongoDB
  • experience with container orchestration technology, like
    Cloud Foundry
    or
    Kubernetes
  • experience working on projects that involve Application Security like
    oAuth2
    and/or
    SSO
  • experience with event stream processing technologies such as
    Kafka
    or
    Pub/Sub
  • experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment(
    ClCD
    )
  • experience with
    REST APl design
  • worked on productionizing
    NodeJS
    servers
  • knowledge in
    Object Oriented
    and
    Functional Design
  • Preferably within banking

Soft Skills Required:

  • Display a passion for driving teams towards high performance and a deep pride in quality craftsmanship that delights user
  • A self-starter type, learning new technologies and refining current applications
  • Excellent communication including the ability to distil technical details into simple terms
  • Has a passion for well-designed products and not afraid to share and explain your ideas

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent
