Job Title: Windchill Solution Architect

Job Location: Remote (Anywhere across Canada/US)

About the job you're considering

We are seeking an experienced Windchill Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Windchill solutions for our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that Windchill implementations align with client business objectives and industry best practices.

Your Role

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical designs for Windchill customizations and integrations.
  • Create and maintain a robust technical architecture for the Windchill environment, considering scalability and performance.
  • Define data mapping and workflows within the Windchill system to optimize data management.
  • Lead the development team in customizing Windchill functionalities, including workflows, user interfaces, and data structures.
  • Oversee the implementation process, ensuring proper configuration, data migration, and system integration.
  • Monitor development progress and address technical challenges during implementation.
  • Establish quality standards for Windchill development and testing procedures.
  • Conduct thorough testing of customizations and integrations to identify and resolve defects.
  • Review and approve code changes to maintain code quality and consistency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Windchill developers on the team.
  • Assign tasks effectively and manage team workload to meet project deadlines.
  • Foster collaboration within the development team and with other stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical details clearly to business users and project stakeholders.
  • Gather requirements from business users and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Manage expectations regarding project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Stay updated on the latest Windchill versions and features to ensure the system remains optimized.

Your skills and experience

  • 8-12 years of experience with development and configuration of Windchill PLM
  • 5-7 years of experience leading projects in windchill expertise
  • Should have strong technical experience on PTC Windchill PLM products.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windchill PDMLink, ProjectLink, and PartsLink.
  • Experience in Windchill Configuration and Customizations.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java J2EE technologies, Spring, hibernate & frameworks.
  • Very good understanding of Windchill Part Management, Change Management, and Workflow modules
  • Experience with PTC Creo and other PTC software is required
  • Knowledge of Windchill Bulk Migration (Data Migration).
  • Strong debugging skills.
  • Ability to write SQL queries, and database procedures, Understanding of database administration, and database design.
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills, Analytical skills

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $86,900 - $168,680/year

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
