Qualifications / Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Certified or retired teacher/Professional/ student teachers/ Education Assistants/university/College students (completed at least one full year of University/College )
• Open to completing a criminal background check (Background checks from other agencies are accepted)
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• Bilingual is an asset

The Role:

We're seeking talented tutors to work with students of all grades, from elementary to University, across a range of subjects. This isn't just about helping students with homework; it's about building relationships and creating an environment where students develop a lifelong love of learning. As a Tutor Doctor tutor, you'll work one-on-one with students to develop tailored lessons that fit their unique learning style, helping them grow both academically and personally.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Engage students of all grades in meaningful, personalized tutoring sessions that are fun and interactive.
• Focus on the whole student, understanding their learning style, and tailoring lessons to spark their interest and boost confidence.
• Provide support in a wide range of subjects: from elementary basics to secondary school subjects.
• Track student progress and celebrate their successes, big and small.
• Foster a growth mindset in every student, helping them see mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow.

• Passion for teaching and helping students succeed—no matter their age or academic level.
• A creative and adaptive approach to tutoring that meets each student's unique learning needs.
• Previous tutoring experience (or the ability to quickly connect with students and explain concepts in a clear, approachable way).
• Strong subject knowledge
