Our expertise spans full-service construction and development management, including land assessment, architectural design, engineering, permitting, project management, on-site construction, and warranty services.

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Family Foreman with strong carpentry skills, a high degree of emotional intelligence, and critical thinking abilities to support the Site Superintendent on challenging projects in Nunavut. You should be a dedicated team player, able to work in a fast-paced, remote environment while helping to build a positive and productive team culture.

As the Site Foreman, you will:

  • Support the Site Superintendent and project team to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate construction activities on-site.
  • Help direct BDL labour on specific scopes to maintain project construction schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Site Superintendent, project managers and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to construction standards.
  • Facilitate communication between project team members, stakeholders, and management.
  • Implement and enforce environmental and safety regulations on-site.
  • Resolve conflicts or issues that arise during construction, escalating as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and reports.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Site Foreman experience, preferably with full-cycle multi-family residential projects.
  • Telehandler Operation Ticket
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to interpret and apply building codes and regulations.
  • Certification in construction management or related field (e.g., PMP) is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in Iqaluit for 6–8 weeks at a time with scheduled turnarounds.

Important Notes:

This position requires travel to Iqaluit, Nunavut, for extended periods (6–8 weeks), with all travel and accommodations fully covered by BDL.
