Personal Care Attendant/ Housekeeping positions available

General accountability:

Reporting to the resident care manager, the personal care attendant/housekeeping gives primary care to the residents such as medication, personal hygiene and performing housekeeping duties in order to maintain a pleasant, safe and healthy environment

As a staff member, each member plays an important role in the well-being of our residents, consequently each employee is asked to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times to ensure a stress free and comfortable setting for residents and to treat the residents as well as the colleagues with dignity and respect.

Key responsibilities

The incumbent performs all of the following duties

Personal care attendant duties:

  • Answer call signals
  • Aid with bathing, dressing, and grooming residents
  • Assist with meals, may serve meal trays, feed or assist in feeding residents
  • Administer and log medication (insulin and medication)
  • Provide companionship
  • Accompany residents to various appointments and or on outside recreational activities (using the company van)
  • Assist with night time routine
  • Take patients blood pressure, temperature and pulse; observe and or monitor residents status
  • May perform tasks such as cleaning and or sterilizing equipment and maintaining equipment
  • Perform other related tasks as required by the immediate supervisor

Housekeeping duties:

  • Dust, vacuum, mop, scrub and sweep hallways, dining and social areas
  • Wash windows
  • Empty garbage containers (common areas)
  • Replace toiletries
  • Preform laundry services for residents
  • Preform other related tasks as required by the immediate supervisor
  • Baking desserts and bread
  • Kitchen prep (vegetables, meats etc)

6:30pm - 6:30am

77 hours biweekly

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.05 per hour
