Position Details: Echo NDE is recruiting for a experienced Tank Inspector with API 653 Certification to support projects across Canada.

Work Location: Based out of Calgary, AB but travel required throughout Canada. 

Responsibilities:

Perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with API standard 653.Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.Organize and report test results.Submit to client technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client. Provide technical input to client as required for welding and metallurgical issues.Provide technical guidance, on an application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.May instruct and supervise trainees.Fully comply with all Nextgen and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives.

Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required.Completion of post-secondary education in related field.3+ years of experience performing tank fiekld inspections.API 653 certification.Preference will be given to candidates with MFL Floor Scanner and Total Station Survey experience.Technical report writing skills.Strong work ethics.Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients.Exceptional safety and quality awareness.Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively.Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level.Ability to travel for work across Canada.Valid driver's license.
