Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our operations, be driven and demonstrate care, This position involves a variety of tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, operating machinery, and ensuring that vehicles are organized and accessible. If you have experience, we encourage you to apply. A class 1 or 3 Drivers license would be considered and asset.

Responsibilities

  • Report to Shop Foremen

-Unlock and Lock Yard Gate

-Process incoming vehicles

-Pull and hang up all keys from vehicles in the yard

-Put man lift inside the shop before 5pm

-Maintain yard organization

-Customer Vehicles

  • Shop Equipment

-Wash dirty units delivered to the yard

-In-Progress parts in the yard

-Disposal of completed job parts

-Disposal of yard waste and garbage

-Cut and throw away old hoods

-Sweep the yard with rolling magnet weekly

-Loader Operation

-Snow removal

-Maintain yard grade

  • Moving dead vehicles

-Load vehicles onto the frame rack

-Skid Steer/Forklift Operation

  • Load and Unload customer deliveries

  • Load and Unload freight

-Move vehicles in and out of the shop

-Drive trucks onto the frame rack

-Deliver and pickup trucks as required

-Deliver and Pickup Parts as required

-Collect Vehicle information for office

-Mow Lawn

-Spray weed control

-Ensure shop is clean and tidy AT ALL TIMES

-Ensure shop building is maintained

-Repair shop building as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
