Summary:
The
Business Analyst – ERP Systems
is a hands-on functional specialist working within Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to support and improve Mircom's Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP platform. As the primary contact for business users on functional ERP questions and requests, you will partner closely with stakeholders and technical teams to analyze requirements, document processes, support changes, and help deliver solutions that drive daily business efficiency and accuracy. This role focuses on requirements gathering, functional testing, process documentation, and user training. This is a full time role based out of our Head Office in Vaughan, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with business users to collect and clarify functional requirements related to the D365 ERP.
  • Analyze data and workflows to understand current state processes and document gaps.
  • Create clear, detailed functional specifications and process maps for solution design.
  • Maintain accurate requirements documentation and traceability through deployment.
  • Work with technical ERP team members and third-party consultants to refine and configure functional solutions.
  • Ensure proposed solutions and system changes are consistent with documented business needs and objectives.
  • Participate in reviewing solution designs and test plans for accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop test cases, scripts, and acceptance criteria based on real business scenarios.
  • Coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with business process owners.
  • Record test results, track defects, and work with developers to validate issue resolution.
  • Support deployment activities and provide go-live assistance.
  • Create and update user guides, quick reference sheets, and step-by-step job aids for ERP functions.
  • Provide day-to-day functional support to business users, answering ERP-related process and data questions.
  • Deliver training sessions for new features and process changes.
  • Gather user feedback and suggest incremental system/process improvements.
  • Log, document, and track business requests for system changes and improvements.
  • Evaluate change requests for value and risk, and support the business in defining priorities.
  • Work under the direction of the Business Systems Manager to ensure alignment with ERP roadmap.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions against business targets (accuracy, efficiency, user adoption).
  • Report findings and recommend future improvements as needed.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, Application Specialist, or similar, supporting ERP/business systems (D365 preferred).
  • Familiarity with core business processes in Finance, Operations, and/or Supply Chain; manufacturing/distribution experience an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to document business processes and write clear functional requirements.
  • Experience designing and executing functional/user acceptance tests.
  • Strong preference for candidates who have developed user-facing documentation or led basic end-user training.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in business process mapping (e.g., Visio) and documentation tools.
  • Foundational understanding of ERP systems and how they support business workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; comfortable interacting with all levels of business and IT.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Able to work independently within a team-driven environment.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business requirements.
