The Ministry of Government Relations has a team-based approach to supporting Saskatchewan's municipal sector and providing information to elected officials, municipal staff and the public about municipal legislation and best practices. The Advisory Services and Municipal Relations Branch is seeking a case management coordinator for a full-time, 12-month term position. Advisory Services and Municipal Relations provides support to a broad range of clients, manages the ministry's public inquiry function and is often the first point of contact for clients seeking direction on municipal legislation and information about ministry-related initiatives.

You will be part of dynamic team dedicated to supporting results-based municipal management and enhancing citizen-centered service by:

  • documenting and tracking client inquiries;
  • providing information on policies;
  • guiding clients to ministry/government resources;
  • following up on client inquiries; and
  • coordinating intra/inter-ministry regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be reliable and adapt easily to changes in workload, regulations and procedures in a continuously changing environment, and demonstrate the government's core values (respect and integrity, serving citizens, excellence and innovation) and acting as one team in all work duties.

Among other activities, you would be the first point of contact for Ministry of Government Relations stakeholders contacting the ministry. You will provide comprehensive information to stakeholders on a wide range of topics, programs and services, including regulatory requirements and providing directions to forms, processes and policy resources. You will evaluate (triage) needs and concerns and provide guidance verbally and/or in writing to telephone and email inquiries on regulations, policies, programs and procedures.

As a coordinator, you will recognize evolving client service issues and recommend appropriate solutions. You will be confident and comfortable working independently or as a contributing team member. In addition to having excellent oral and written communication skills, you will be tactful, innovative and persuasive. A broad knowledge of policies and issues in the municipal sector is an asset.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be acquired through completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in Municipal Administration, Business Administration, Public Policy, Communications or a related field and/or several years of demonstrated, related work experience.
