Seasonal Employment – Public Works Summer Labourer Supervisor(S)
(May – September 2026) The Town of Wasaga Beach is now accepting resumes for Summer Public Works Labourer Supervisor(s). This is a great opportunity to work outdoors, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to keeping our community clean and beautiful.
Position Overview: As a Summer Labourer Supervisor with Public Works, you will play a key role in:Guidance of other labourersCollecting roadside and beachfront litterEmptying garbage and recycling binsInspecting storm catch basins, outlets, ponds, and trail systemsAssisting with tree and brush clean-upPainting fire hydrants, sewer stacks, sign posts, and building structuresSupporting beachfront clean-up and municipal road maintenancePerforming other Public Works-related duties as assigned Qualifications:Preference will be given to those registered in a full-time secondary/post-secondary program in the next academic yearStrong public relations & communication skillsProven leadership skills with experience in providing direction to staffAbility to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays;Physically capable of performing manual labour, including heavy lifting and working in all weather conditionsExperience in roads maintenance activities and ability in using hand tools is an assetStrong knowledge of the Town of Wasaga Beach is an assetValid First Aid and CPR certification preferredValid Class "G" Ontario drivers' license preferredAbility to work independently and as part of a team with initiative and a great attitudeAble to provide an satisfactory criminal record check and drivers' abstract upon hire Why Join Us?Gain valuable work experienceWork outdoors in a dynamic environmentContribute to your community
