Job Description

The House of Commons Procedural Services is currently looking to staff the Lead, Business Application and Information Support.

The Lead, Business Application and Information Support is accountable for the daily operational management of technical activities involving the delivery of user support services and the coordination and support of the information technology activities of Procedural Services, including the development and implementation of strategies to effectively manage its information assets. The incumbent also provides leadership, advice and direction in the strategic planning and implementation of information technology activities and information management for Procedural Services in alignment with corporate policies, strategic plan, and initiatives.

This recruitment and selection process is restricted to employees of the House of Commons Administration.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduation from a university, college, or technical institute in information technology or information management, OR an acceptable combination of education, experience and training.

Experiences:

  • Experience in conducting thorough requirement analysis tailored to meet the specific business needs of clients and identifying possible solutions;
  • Experience developing and overseeing plans, priorities and processes for technical support team;
  • Experience providing advice, guidance and recommendations to senior managers, users and clients on applications services;
  • Experience supervising or leading a team;
  • Experience leading projects teams and/or working groups to ensure all products are tested before delivery;
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong partnerships by leveraging excellent communication, fostering collaboration and trust.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of PRISM/CMM/Service Now and other Procedural Services business applications;
  • Experience managing complex technical incidents and coordinating resolution with DSRP partners or service providers;
  • Technical experience in the development of applications.
