Duties

  • Assist customers in selecting automotive parts and accessories by providing expert advice on product features, compatibility, and installation procedures.
  • Manage inventory levels through accurate stock control, order fulfillment, and replenishment to ensure availability of high-demand items.
  • Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems to process sales transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and cashiering duties.
  • Conduct inventory audits using inventory management software such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Support automotive repair and maintenance operations by understanding automotive diagnostics and repair procedures to recommend suitable parts.
  • Engage with customers via phone etiquette and in-person communication to address inquiries, provide product recommendations, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized sales floor by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring all products are properly labeled for easy access.
  • Support marketing initiatives by promoting special offers or new products to enhance sales performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve overall store operations through effective organizational skills and teamwork.

Experience

  • Previous dealership or retail experience in automotive parts or related fields is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair processes.
  • Experience with inventory management systems such as CMMS or similar software is advantageous.
  • Strong sales management skills with a proven ability to upsell products while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, Microsoft Excel, and general organizational skills are beneficial for managing stock levels and sales data accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with phone etiquette ensure clear interactions with customers and team members alike.
  • Knowledge of dealership operations or experience in automotive service environments will help you excel in this role.
