Listing Specialist
to join our team. This role will focus on product research, front-end Amazon listing creation, and owning listings by brand to ensure optimal performance. This is a critical role that directly impacts product visibility and sales on Amazon.
About the Role:
As a
Listing Specialist
, you will be responsible for conducting detailed product research, creating optimized Amazon listings, and managing the lifecycle of listings selected brands. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, perform in-depth research, and ensure listings are compelling, complete, and fully optimized for Amazon's marketplace. The role demands excellent copywriting skills, a keen eye for product details, and a solid understanding of Amazon SEO strategies to maximize visibility and conversion. Ownership and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are key for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Research:
- Conduct thorough research on products, including evaluating pricing, features, competitors, and market trends.
- Receive and Research Catalog from the Sales Team, performing both preliminary and in-depth analysis for product, pricing, and feature assessment.
- Identify profitable product opportunities by analyzing market demand, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
- Research and assess product categories and market conditions to ensure products are competitive and aligned with brand strategy.
- Analyze keyword trends, industry reports, and competitor listings to refine product selection and market fit.
Front-End Listing Creation & Optimization:
- Create and optimize Amazon listings by writing strategic copy (titles, bullet points, descriptions) that adheres to Amazon best practices and maximizes keyword visibility.
- Perform keyword segmentation and incorporate the best-performing keywords into listing elements (titles, bullet points, descriptions).
- Ensure backend search terms are optimized for SEO to improve product discoverability on Amazon.
- Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to ensure listings are visually appealing and consistent with the brand's voice.
- Continuously optimize listings based on performance data, customer feedback, and changing market conditions.
Ownership of Listings:
- Take full ownership of Amazon listings for multiple brands, ensuring they meet Amazon's standards and are continuously optimized based on performance metrics.
- Monitor product listing performance and make adjustments to improve rankings, conversion rates, and overall sales.
Data Entry & Validation:
- Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of product data (flat files, Amazon catalog) and sync with FBA inventory.
- Regularly validate listings and product data to ensure consistency across the Amazon platform and internal systems.
- Ensure readiness for product launches, ensuring all listing elements are complete, optimized, and aligned with product strategy
Agile Project Management:
- Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Use agile principles to adapt quickly to evolving business needs and changing priorities.
Requirements:
- Product Research Expertise:
Ability to analyze and identify profitable products based on market demand, competitive analysis, and customer needs.
- Copywriting Skills:
Strong copywriting skills for crafting compelling titles, bullet points, and product descriptions.
- Keyword Segmentation:
Experience conducting keyword research and effectively segmenting keywords for different listing elements (titles, descriptions, backend search terms).
- Data-Driven & Analytical:
Ability to analyze performance data and make data-driven decisions to optimize listings and product performance.
- Time Management:
Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a high-pressure environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Collaboration & Communication:
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and design, to deliver high-quality listings.
- Agility & Adaptability:
Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment with changing priorities and timelines.
No Prior Amazon Experience Required:
Although prior Amazon experience is a plus, we are open to candidates with strong research and digital marketing backgrounds, especially those familiar with e-commerce platforms.
Its a bonus if you have:
- Familiarity with
Amazon Seller Central
or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with
keyword research tools
(e.g., Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Keyword Tool) and listing optimization tools.
- Understanding of
Amazon SEO
best practices for both front-end and back-end optimization.
