Position Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Department is currently seeking a Permanent Full-time Senior CT Medical Radiation Technologist to join their team.

Effective Date: February 23, 2026

Department/Unit/Program Description

The Diagnostic Imaging Department (DI) offers a variety of services to inpatients and outpatients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Modalities offered include X-ray, CT, MRI, US, Mammography (including Ontario Breast Screening OBSP), Echocardiography and non-invasive IR procedures.

Orthopedic fracture clinics run multiple days per week, adding to the variety of patients seen. Patient complexity ranges based on individual patient needs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing CT and General Radiography procedures.
  • Completion of Contrast Administration Certificate
  • Completion of Computed Tomography Imaging Certificate (CTIC) or equivalent.
  • Proven clinical expertise and professional leadership skills, with a focus on collaborative teamwork, patient flow optimization and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to effectively manage stressful situations and resolve conflict in a professional manner.
  • Commitment to staying current with technological advancements and supporting the implementation of best practices.
  • Strong awareness of safety standards and quality assurance principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registration with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS) preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience in a clinical or supervisory role.
  • Previous experience as a clinical preceptor or mentor.

Hours of Work

Must be available to work 8 hour day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the OPSEU Collective Agreement.
