We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Short-term Rental Manager to take ownership of our growing portfolio of furnished rental properties. This role is ideal for a self-starter with deep knowledge of short-term rental platforms, a strong eye for design and furnishing, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Management & Listing Optimization
· Property Listing & Promotion: Take full ownership of creating, publishing, and maintaining high-performing listings across platforms such as Airbnb, VRBO, and This includes crafting compelling descriptions, curating professional-quality photos, and showcasing property features tailored to each platform's audience.
· Platform Performance: Monitor platform analytics to track views, conversion rates, and booking trends. Continuously optimize listings for higher visibility and occupancy.
· Platform Compliance: Ensure listings meet all platform standards and local regulatory requirements.
Furnishing & Design Coordination
· Furnishing to Fit: Source and coordinate furnishings based on the unique aesthetic and functional expectations of each platform (e.g., Airbnb's "Airbnb Plus" or 's design-forward preferences).
· Vendor Collaboration: Liaise with furniture retailers and interior stylists to create inviting, platform-friendly spaces that enhance guest appeal and booking potential.
· Style Consistency: Maintain consistency in quality, branding, and functionality across all properties.
Ongoing Operations & Guest Management
· Guest Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, from pre-booking inquiries to post-checkout feedback. Ensure quick, helpful, and courteous communication.
· Check-in/Check-out Coordination: Organize smooth guest transitions and ensure units are guest-ready at all times.
· Cleaning & Maintenance: Manage and schedule reliable cleaning and maintenance services. Address issues promptly to protect guest satisfaction and property condition.
· Review & Reputation Management: Proactively monitor and respond to guest reviews. Resolve concerns professionally to uphold a 5-star reputation.
Marketing & Revenue Strategy
· Dynamic Pricing: Utilize pricing tools and market data to adjust nightly rates in real time, maximizing revenue while maintaining competitiveness.
· Promotional Campaigns: Design and execute seasonal or platform-specific promotional strategies to increase occupancy.
· Market Monitoring: Stay ahead of short-term rental trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.
Reporting & Stakeholder Relations
· Performance Reporting: Deliver regular reports to owners and senior leadership, covering occupancy, revenue, expenses, and guest feedback.
· Owner Relations: Build and maintain transparent, trust-based relationships with property owners and investors.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all listings and operations comply with provincial and municipal laws.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field
· Proven track record managing and promoting properties on Airbnb, VRBO, and similar platforms
· Experience coordinating property furnishings and interiors to meet rental standards
· Deep understanding of short-term rental best practices, including revenue management and guest service
· Proficiency with platform analytics and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
· Familiarity with dynamic pricing and yield management tools (e.g., PriceLabs, Beyond Pricing)
· Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
