Position: Part-Time Security Guard

Site: North York, Consumers Road

Hours: Saturday and Sunday

Pay Rate: $19.10/Hr

Overtime Method: Ontario Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Key Responsibilities:

Access control, property patrols, incident reporting, CCTV and fire panel monitoring, emergency response and customer serviceMaintain work flow to ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly tasks and assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner and forwarded to managementEnsuring a safe and effective working environment by the proper use of all equipment and resources; maintain compliance with established health and safety policies and proceduresStanding or sitting for long periods of timesGreet tenants, clients and the general publicProvide helpful guidance and assistancesSustain effective relationships with visitors, tenants and staff through courteous and respectful relations

Prerequisites:

Valid Ontario Security Guard licenseValid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved providerOntario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent/post-secondary diploma or degreeMinimum 1 year security related experience preferredHigh level of customer serviceKnowledge of access control, CCTV, fire equipment and fire monitoring systemsKnowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, Municipal laws and bi-lawsPosition requires the ability to walk/stand/climb stairs for extended periods of time in all weather conditionsMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionLegally Authorized to Work in Canada
