Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a BIM/CAD Technician. The BIM/CAD Technician will be responsible for creating and managing 3D models, conducting 3D scans, and performing scan to BIM and as-built tasks. This role is located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with some work from home acceptable.

Qualifications

CAD and BIM Production:
Produce detailed and accurate 2D CAD drawings and 3D Building Information Models (BIM) from field survey data, including point clouds and traditional measurements.

3D Modeling and Visualization:
Generate precise 3D models of existing site conditions, utilities, and building elements, ensuring high geometric fidelity for construction and design use.

Scan-to-BIM:
Execute full Scan-to-BIM processes, registering point cloud data and modeling existing structures and infrastructure to the required level of detail (LOD).

As-Built Documentation:
Create comprehensive
as-built
drawings and models by incorporating site measurement data and verifying accuracy against design specifications.

Data Management:
Manage, process, and organize large datasets, including point cloud files from
3D laser scanners
, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

Quality Control:
Perform self-checks and peer reviews to ensure all drawings and models adhere to company standards, project specifications, and industry best practices.

Collaboration:
Work closely with surveyors, project managers, and engineers to interpret survey data and translate project requirements into digital deliverables.

Software Proficiency:
Maintain expert-level proficiency in relevant BIM and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Recap, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
