Personal Support Worker – Alternative Level of Care Facility

Location: 1385 Regent Street, Sudbury, ON

Pay: CA$21.00–CA$25.00 per hour +$2 wage enhancement + weekend and nights premiums

Continuity Care Solutions Inc. (CCS) is proud to partner with Health Sciences North (HSN) to provide nursing services at the HSN Alternative Level of Care (ALC) Extension Site, located within The Amberwood Suites on Regent Street.

As a CCS employee, you'll be part of a compassionate team of PSWs delivering person-centred care that bridges the gap between hospital and home—helping patients regain independence and dignity as they transition to the next stage of their health journey.

Part-time : Min 48 hours/ biweekly

Schedule : As per unit needs

Position Overview

  • Follow site and Health Sciences North policies, processes, and procedures;
  • Provide a high level of patient care by following patient care plans;
  • Observe, report, and document any findings or changes in patient condition or behaviour;
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Assist patients with ambulation when needed;
  • Provide assistance moving patients in and out of facility as required;
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to follow directions.

Requirements:

  • Personal Support Worker certificate from an accredited college or equivalent;
  • At least 6 months of experience as a personal support worker;
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate / First Aid-CPR is required;
  • Ministry of Labour "Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps" training certificate is required;
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required (dated within 6 months of employment start date);
  • Updated vaccinations as per company policy and TB testing are required;
  • Ability to work days, nights, and some weekends;
  • Experience working with patients with dementia considered an asset;
  • Experience in medication administration an asset;
  • Bilingualism (French) would be considered an asset.
