Learning Potential Foundation is looking for Education Assistants to join our team for the school year. We partner with preschools and daycares working with children aged 2-5 years with varying levels of delays/needs.

Current EA Position opportunities include:

1) Full Time, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm (with a 1hr unpaid lunch break) in a Daycare in Airdrie from January 5/26

Qualifications include:

-Experience with children with delays and/or special needs an asset

-Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search (dated within the last 6 months)

  • Education Assistant certification an asset

Abilities Required include:

-Proficiency in English (written and oral)

-Ability to work as a team and independently

-Good organizational skills, time management skills, and pacing skills

-Flexibility within a group setting of students with various needs

-Ability to respond appropriately to challenging behaviours of students

-Reliable & Dependable (including consistent attendance)

-Success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships

-Enthusiasm, commitment, willingness to learn, and desire to make a difference

-Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent our ECS in a professional manner

Compensation/Position includes:

-Our starting wage is $22/hr.

-Benefits after 3 months if employed for 18+ hrs per week

-Employment runs for the school year (with option to renew based on performance and agreement by both parties)

**Please note that this is a position in Education and NOT Childcare. The posted pay is the hourly rate and there is no additional childcare sector wage top-up. Thank you
