Job Description SummaryThe Project Procurement Team Leader (PPTL) supports the Procurement Manager in overseeing procurement execution for Grid Solutions data center projects in North America. This role leads a team of project buyers and Project Procurement Logistics Managers (PPLMs) to ensure all purchasing activities are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with GE Vernova sourcing policies. As the primary operational leader and point of escalation, the PPTL is responsible for driving performance, meeting KPIs, and fostering continuous improvement to enable successful project delivery.Job DescriptionThe RoleThe Project Procurement Team Leader (PPTL) supports the Procurement Manager in leading procurement execution across Grid Solutions projects in the North America region for the Data Centers Portfolio.The PPTL is responsible for overseeing a team of project buyers and PPLMs (Project Procurement Logistics Manager)  to ensure that all procurement activities are executed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with GE Vernova sourcing policies. Acting as the first line of leadership and escalation, the PPTL drives operational performance, KPI achievement, and continuous improvement to support successful project delivery.Key missions:
  • Manage daily procurement execution activities, ensuring timely PO creation, approvals, documentation, and expediting in line with project schedules.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for procurement execution and supplier-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and clear communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Track and report procurement performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, PO Cycle Time, Savings, Claim Resolution, etc.) and drive improvement actions.
  • Conduct regular team meetings with the team.
  • Provide onboarding and continuous training to the team members.
  • Coach and mentor team members to strengthen performance and problem-solving.
  • Hold regular one-to-one discussions to give feedback and support growth.
  • Foster a culture of operational discipline, compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of procurement or supply chain experience, specifically in project-based industries (Energy, Industrial, EPC, or Manufacturing).
  • At least 3 years of team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring small teams.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing processes, supplier management, and ERP systems (SAP)
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
