Driven Resources Ltd. is currently seeking professional Hydrovac Swampers to join their dynamic team.

Hydrovac Swamper -

This seasonal role is responsible for the safe operation of a Hydrovac by using pressurized water and a vacuum system to quickly, safely, and precisely expose around utilities, pipelines, etc.

Other duties required include:

  • Responsible for the successful completion of hydro excavation projects including: utility line exposure, pipeline exposure, debris removal, slot trenching, and digging
  • Operate Hydrovac trucks, equipment, and bonding mats in a safe and professional manner
  • While completing hydro excavation projects, the Hydrovac Swamper will need to be receptive to receiving task delegation & coaching from the Hydrovac Operator
  • The Swamper will contribute to the overall execution of all Hydrovac activities
  • Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Set up and inspect bonding mats
  • Complete all required paperwork within set timelines
  • Ability to work independently and be an effective team player who contributes positively to the end goals of the team while maintaining excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ensure all Hydrovac truck equipment & components are in good working condition at all times
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections
  • Follow company policies, procedures and Safe Operating Procedures for tasks and routine maintenance
  • Perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly
  • Report any inefficiency to Owner
  • Ability to follow directions and express ideas clearly in writing, and verbally
  • Maintain and use appropriate PPE
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate business needs
  • Ability to work out of town & stay in camp (Conklin & surrounding area)

Required Qualifications

Min 1+ years previous experience as Hydrovac Swamper

Valid Class 5 license w/ clean driver's abstract

Class 3 license is an asset

1+ Previous yrs experience in Oil & Gas Industry/Pipeline Industry

Demonstrated mechanical ability

Required to pass pre-employment screening for drug and alcohol

Fall protection OSSA

First Aid

Ground Disturbance Level 2

H2S Alive

WHIMIS

TDG (transportation of dangerous goods)

PCST (pipeline construction safety training)

CSTS (construction safety training)

Equipotential Bonding

Confined space OSSA

*Competitive compensation based on experience

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months
