Salary range (but not limited to):

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

7.5%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We're looking for a Total Loss Claims Adjuster to join our growing team

What you'll do here:

  • Analyze and interpret insurance policy wordings and valuation reports to determine coverage and evaluate and negotiate total loss settlements
  • Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with customers, lawyers and brokers to settle claims
  • Ensure all cases are clearly documented and forms are analyzed and processed in a timely fashion
  • Identify process improvement needs and recommend changes to policies or procedures to improve quality service and competitiveness

What you bring to the table:

  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Auto claims handling is an asset
  • A college diploma or a university degree is an asset
  • Working toward the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset
  • Have a strong ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation and decision-making skills
  • A critical thinker when it comes to approaching complex problems in time-sensitive situations and with minimal supervision
  • Are a skilled communicator, which allows you to foster favorable business relationships
  • Have a keen ability to listen to others with the goal of gathering information, allowing you to efficiently evaluate a situation
  • Go above and beyond for your customers and colleagues because you genuinely want to make a difference
