What is the opportunity?

We're thrilled to offer a 4-month summer opportunity to join our team in a role related to Banking Operations & Strategy Analysis. As an AVP, Banking Intern, you will support the development and execution of strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and client engagement activities for the RBCx Banking team. You will conduct in-depth research, analyze data, create reports and dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business development, improve workflows, and enhance client experiences. This role is ideal for someone with strong data analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for innovation.

What will you do?

  • Build and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports using tools like Power BI to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Conduct research and analysis on market trends, customer segments, and industry opportunities to inform business strategies.
  • Identify and analyze high-potential opportunities, such as early-stage startups, to support business development and client outreach.
  • Support the planning and execution of strategic initiatives, market activations, and ecosystem engagement events.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and employee engagement programs to enhance team performance.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide project management support for priority initiatives, including portfolio alignment and client intelligence development.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have:

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Project management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Interest in financial services, banking operations, and business development, with a willingness to learn and develop knowledge in these areas.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Growth mindset and adaptability to new challenges.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Interest in technology, innovation, and emerging industries (e.g., startups, venture capital, and tech ecosystems).
  • Familiarity with banking processes, compliance, and client engagement strategies.
  • Experience with process improvement and operational optimization.
  • Proficiency in creating presentations and reports for stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of early-stage startups, venture capital, or the tech ecosystem.
  • Bilingual Candidate Preferred

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2026 Student placement with a start date of May 2026, and end date of August 2026. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026 ; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2026), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
