We are seeking an experienced Civil / Infrastructure Designer to support oil and gas projects focused on pipeline corridors, rights-of-way, and road design. This will be a contract position to work in Calgary.

The successful candidate will work on the planning, design, and development of infrastructure within linear project environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations. Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed civil designs for pipeline corridors and rights-of-way (ROW), including alignments, profiles, and cross-sections.
  • Perform roadway design associated with pipeline access roads, temporary and permanent roads, and related infrastructure.
  • Utilize Bentley OpenRoads to produce design models, drawings, and construction deliverables.
  • Prepare and revise engineering drawings, plans, and profiles in accordance with company and client standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including pipeline, environmental, and construction stakeholders.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and oil & gas industry best practices.
  • Support constructability reviews and respond to technical queries during project execution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and version control throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in pipeline corridor and right-of-way design within the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong background in road design for linear infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads.
  • Solid understanding of civil engineering principles related to grading, drainage, and roadway geometry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, contract-based project environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on large-scale oil and gas pipeline projects.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and client specifications for pipeline and roadway design.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
