Position Overview
We're seeking a motivated Field Technician to join our managed IT services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for onsite technical support, network setup, troubleshooting, and installation of IT and security systems. You'll serve as the face of the company for our clients—ensuring smooth deployments and excellent customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform onsite installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Provide desktop, printer, and peripheral support for client systems (Windows, macOS, and mobile).
- Set up and maintain VoIP systems, CCTV, and access control devices.
- Conduct routine maintenance visits and respond to urgent service calls.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Assist with cabling, rack organization, and structured wiring documentation.
- Collaborate with remote support engineers to resolve escalated technical issues.
- Maintain clear service records, time logs, and client communication in the ticketing system.
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards while adhering to company SOPs.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, networking, or field services.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Experience with UniFi, Cisco, or Fortinet equipment is an asset.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Basic understanding of VoIP and camera systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client sites.
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent experience.
- Ubiquiti UEWA or UniFi certifications (asset).
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator or Azure Fundamentals.

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
