Are YOU our next Medical Courier?  

As a Courier, you play a crucial role for Dynacare and act as a true representative of the company. You are responsible for the pickup and safe delivery of medical samples in a courteous, timely, and respectful manner. These samples have important medical outcomes and treatments for physicians and patients, so we rely on the efficiency, accuracy, and careful transport of our couriers. Even seconds of delay can make a lasting difference to a client's healthcare needs. This role not only allows you to make a real impact in your work, but also lets you do so while having flexibility in your daily life. This is a casual, on-call position to provide coverage during vacations and absences.  

Status: Casual (On-call)

Shift: Varies Monday to Sunday; coverage for sick calls and vacation when needed any day of the week.

How YOU will make a difference:
  • Being super-attentive to detail in ensuring all samples are picked up as scheduled for clients
  • Deliver medical reports reliably and other mail to all locations on assigned route
  • Act as the representative of the company and must be courteous, informative, and professional at all times
  • Be responsible for the safety and security of the vehicle always
What YOU bring to the role:
  • You bring a positive approach and a friendly attitude combined with a laser-focus on quality
  • Strong teamwork skills, but you can work independently while being punctual and reliable
  • You have a valid G driver's license with 3-year clean driving abstract 
  • Physically able and can lift up to 30 pounds(lbs.)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial driver/courier role
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods certified
Working Conditions:
  • To lift and transport specimen bags and supplies from different hospital locations.
  • Movement in and out of vehicles
  • To carry items up and down on stairs and in and out of the buildings.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds. Walk on stairs and continuously get in/off a vehicle.
  • To deal with body fluids and hot and cold weather.
  • Driving in city and on the highway (either day or night).
  • Must deal with all weather conditions.
  • Handling TDG regulated substances
  • To drive long hours, possibly from/to out of town/rural locations.
Pay rate: $ $23.25 per hour  The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
