A leading provider of diagnostic imaging services, Insight Medical Imaging connects in a meaningful way with our patients, physicians, and employees.  With over 650 employees and 17 clinic locations, Insight provides services in Edmonton and surrounding regions, as well as in Fort McMurray.  

Insight is currently seeking Patient Care Coordinators to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a remote position on a 1-year temporary contract, with the possibility of extension. The regular shift is from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Employees will be required to work at least two Saturdays per month, with a day off provided midweek when a Saturday shift is scheduled. Shifts may also include Sundays and statutory holidays as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Answer incoming calls from various queues to book medical imaging appointments.Liaison with the Medical Receptionist(s), Patient Care Manager, Clinic Supervisors, Coordinators as required to ensure timely Patient Care. Provide valuable feedback in the Development and implementation of protocols as directed by the Patient Care Manager and other administrative staff within the Organization. Check incoming Faxes and contact Physicians and Patients for Medical Imaging appointments. Call out to patients as directed by the Patient Care Manager to rebook, confirm or fill appointments as required.

Skills:

Proficiency with medical scheduling systems and customized computer softwareWorking knowledge of medical office routines, imaging protocols, and workflowsStrong computer literacy, including data entry and electronic fax handlingTask prioritization and time management skills in a remote setting

Qualifications:

High School Diploma (required)Medical Assistant Diploma or Medical Terminology Certificate with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (equivalencies may be considered)Previous experience in a high-volume contact center (required)Strong verbal communication and customer interaction skills
