We are currently seeking a Service Desk Analyst to join our Information Management and Information Technology (IMIT) team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow within IMIT, as Service Desk staff have historically progressed into other roles within both IMIT and FNHA. With the organization undergoing significant technical transformations—such as the migration to Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online—this is a great time to be part of the change.

The Service Desk role goes beyond phone and ticket queue support. Our team also provides deskside assistance, supports meetings, and helps customers directly when needed.

Title: Service Desk Analyst

Salary: $76,207 - $94,594 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: Coast Salish Territories: Metro Vancouver: Sinclair office – 100% On-site

Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

About the role

As a Service Desk Analyst, you will provide support for computer workstations, network servers, and applications to FNHA employees, programs, and First Nations clients. You will serve as the single point of contact for IT issues and requests from FNHA staff, nurses, doctors, and the First Nations communities we support. This role involves supporting multiple locations across British Columbia, including some that are in remote areas of the province. You will be responsible for primary incident management related to computer workstations, printing, local area networks, and other technical services. Additionally, you will identify and escalate issues involving workstations, servers, communications, and peripheral hardware.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have: -

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Completion of two years of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Management, plus two (2) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundations V4 Certification.

Job Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of First Nations traditions and etiquette.
  • Ability to use a variety of computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to configure and operate computer workstation, portable computer, and server hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of theories, principles, practices, and techniques of computer science and the underlying theory for practical application in system and workstation analysis, installation, documentation, and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of computer workstation and network operating systems relating to the installation of hardware and operating systems, and the identification and resolution of hardware and operating system-related problems.
