CDD Practice
A&M's TAG (Transaction Advisory Group) Canada CDD practice helps investors and management teams make informed decisions by providing a clear, fact-based view of market attractiveness, competitive positioning, customer dynamics, and business performance. Our work spans pre-deal diligence, value creation planning, and post-close strategy execution—linking market insights to financial outcomes. We combine rigorous primary research, data analytics, and deep sector expertise to assess growth potential, sustainability of performance, and key risks, enabling clients to invest and operate with confidence.
How you will contribute:
As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with our highly motivated and effective team of professionals on a variety of interesting projects across different industries, including, but not limited to, manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, waste management, business and industrial services as well as healthcare, software & technology, energy and financial services. You will provide our clients with an integrated due diligence approach that goes beyond traditional CDD output and focus on key value drivers for sponsors and lenders. Our integrated due diligence approach combines our deep operational, functional and industry expertise with high-quality insights that drive value throughout the investment lifecycle. Additionally, responsibilities will include:
- Leading or supporting market assessments by estimating market size and growth and analyzing the competitive and regulatory landscape to shape strategy, investment theses, and deal rationale.
- Synthesizing customer and market insights obtained through surveys, interviews, and secondary research to develop commercial perspectives and recommendations.
- Owning portions of client deliverables, including presentations, reports, and model-based analyses that integrate market findings, management discussions, and company performance.
- Managing workstreams and analytical modules across projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with senior team direction.
- Engaging directly with clients during diligence, strategy, or transformation projects to communicate findings and support implementation.
- Contributing to business development through research, proposal drafting, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Mentoring interns and analysts while collaborating closely with senior professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What We're Looking For
- MBA degree (expected June 2026) with a concentration in Strategy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of prior professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or a related analytical role.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, and verbal & written communication skills.
- Experience with Think-Cell, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics and visualization tools (preferred).
- Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, conduct rigorous analysis, and communicate insights clearly.
- Demonstrated leadership, intellectual curiosity, and ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments.
