Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking for an Architectural Project Manager to support our Vancouver Branch located in Surrey, BC (Office Location nd Avenue, Surrey BC V3Z 3S6), reporting to the Project Director. Day in the Life
  • To be the primary point of contact for any appointed projects and manage all aspects from start to finish
  • Review of all contracts, specifications, addendums, drawings and correspondence to be able to efficiently plan and execute the project's scope of work and communicate with production Superintendents and Site Foremen
  • Submit any clarifications or RFI's pertaining to any concerns of the aforementioned documentation
  • Upon approvals of any changes complete all submittals in a timely manner and ensure all purchase requirements are supplied to the Purchasing Department
  • Communicate with the client any potential concerns or project delays
  • Attend all necessary trade coordination meetings and communicate with the project team any pertinent information associated with the specific discipline
  • Price any and all changes in the scope of work and follow up on the receipt of approved Change Orders prior to proceeding with the work
  • Protect the firm by ensuring any or all key discussions are documented in writing wherever required. Track and be aware of all costs associated with the project
  • Prepare and complete monthly Schedule of Values (S of V) on each project where required
  • Provide timely invoice information on a monthly basis depending on project invoice deadlines
  • Coordinate and communicate all the scheduling for the projects in house with all Departments
  • Ensure assigned Project Coordinators are tasked with work
  • Ensure work is done with quality and within the contract requirements
  • Submit all close out documentation in a timely manner
  • Report to the Project Director as required for issues, potential concerns, project updates, etc.
  • Assess and provide 2-year financials lookaheads on a monthly-basis.

What We Are Seeking
  • Minimum of 5 years within a Project Manager role in Construction
  • Previous experience with Building Envelope construction (Metals and Glazing) is an asset
  • Must have strong blueprint reading skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office applications and ability to learn new computer systems
  • Ability to work in a time sensitive and at times stressful environment
