Our client is a well-established, industrial electrical contractor based in the Lower Mainland. They are known for their laid-back office environment, open communication, and lack of corporate bureaucracy. With projects ranging up to $10M, they take pride in delivering high-quality industrial electrical solutions while maintaining a collaborative and down-to-earth culture.

Your New Role:

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Project Coordinator to support their Project Managers with planning, procurement, documentation, scheduling, cost control, and field coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in every stage of a project and wants to grow within a stable, family-oriented business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overall project delivery
  • Support financial tracking, cost control, and forecasting on active projects
  • Assist with estimating and pricing small to mid-size projects and change orders
  • Coordinate material and equipment purchasing with suppliers and vendors
  • Review bid-to-construction drawings, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
  • Liaise with general contractors, consultants, site supervisors, and field teams
  • Help manage manpower planning, labour tracking, and project timelines
  • Support site operations as required, including site meetings and progress reviews
  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as O&M manuals, submittals, and closeout packages
  • Ensure all project deficiencies are addressed and as-built drawings are completed

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in project coordination or a related role within electrical or industrial construction (preferred)
  • Understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, and loop diagrams
  • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and project documentation standards
  • Diploma or certificate in Electrical or Engineering Technology is an asset (or equivalent experience)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Accubid (Pro / Change Order) considered an asset
  • Estimating experience for smaller projects is a strong advantage
