The Company

Position

Time & Attendance Coordinator, Edmonton

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Superintendent, Compensation & Benefits, this position will be based in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Payroll section to accurately capture time entries, this includes but not limited to, entering schedules, conducting time capture override where required, recording vacation and sick leave, and validating overtime hours.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely entry of schedules, including adjustments for shift differentials and other work-related variables.
  • Record and track employee vacation and sick leave, ensuring compliance with B2Gold's policies as it relates to each jurisdiction.
  • Liaise with Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors and the Site Personnel Coordinators to ensure validation of accuracy and approve of time and attendance information for payroll processing.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of employee time & attendance records, exemptions, transfers, and resignations conducting regular audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Payroll section to ensure the timely submission of time sheets in adherence to the payroll calendars.
  • Generate detailed reports on time-related metrics, providing insights into trends and areas for improvement.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

  • Two (2) years' experience in timekeeping, attendance management, payroll administration, or data entry with high accuracy.
  • Diploma in Office Administration, Accounting or a related field.
  • Excellent administrative, problem-solving, analytical skills with and exceptional degree of detail orientation and precision.
  • Familiarity with labour/employment laws and regulations relevant to various jurisdictions.
  • Experience working with an enterprise level time and attendance solution; use of Avanti is an asset.
