Royal Building Supplies is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Lift Truck Operator. Previous experience in a similar position and knowledge of building supplies. Candidates must have well developed communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of drywall, insulation and steel studs is an asset. You will also be a team player, able to operate effectively and safely in a fast paced, multitask oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Load/unload materials in a safe manner, material handling
  • Check invoices to verify proper quantities
  • Prepare orders to be shipped
  • Fill customer orders according to invoices
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Customer Service
  • Sign and date customer orders
  • Stock handling, manually lifting over 50kg at times
  • Report damaged material or equipment to supervisor
  • Set-up racking
  • Daily Circle Check for lift truck
  • Advise Supervisor of low inventory levels
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner
  • Proper conduct and respect when interacting with fellow employees
  • Work inside and outdoors, all season weather
  • Adhere to Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Housekeeping mandatory
  • Any duty your Supervisor deems necessary
