We are currently seeking a full-time live-in nanny to provide dedicated care for an infant.

Job Location: High Level, AB

Wage: $18 to $22/hour

Overview

We are seeking a caring and responsible Babysitter/Nanny to provide attentive childcare for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing, teaching, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children. This role involves engaging children in age-appropriate activities, preparing meals, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Prior experience with children, including infants and toddlers, is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development while working in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in educational, recreational, and developmental activities suitable for their age.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children's dietary needs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, including implementing safety protocols.
  • Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and nap times.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks related to childcare, including cleaning up after children and maintaining their play areas.
  • Support children's learning through teaching activities, reading stories, and encouraging creativity.
  • Provide caregiving support for children with special needs or disabilities as required.
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with childcare, babysitting, nannying, or daycare settings.
  • Knowledge of child development stages for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children.
  • First aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
  • Ability to cook nutritious meals and perform light cleaning related to childcare duties.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and patience when working with children and families.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are preferred for flexibility in childcare arrangements.
