Cisco Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain Cisco network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance and availability.
- Implement and support LAN/WAN, VPNs, and network security solutions.
- Manage network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
- Perform regular firmware updates, patching, and hardware maintenance.
- Configure network monitoring tools and respond to alerts proactively.
- Document network configurations, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with security, systems, and support teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide technical support during outages, major incidents, and change management activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs).
- Experience with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS.
- Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, Wireshark, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Pay: $54,307.38-$147,334.76 per year
