Part-Time Clinical Assistant

We are seeking one part-time clinical assistant to join our busy clinic in Guelph.
Availability Required:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays: 4:00pm-8:00 pm
Wednesdays: 2:45pm-6:45 pm
Other shifts as needed (vacation time, sick days, etc).
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and set up of the treatment rooms, sterilization of instruments, and maintaining Podiatric equipment
- Facilitating clinic work flow by bringing patients to rooms and communicating with practitioners and other staff members
- Assisting with therapeutic modalities (Shockwave, Laser, Ultrasound)
- Assisting with the proper set up of rooms for routine and surgical procedures
- Answering the phones and emails, confirming next-day appointments
- Maintaining and updating patient records, scanning documents into patient files
- Ordering supplies and receiving incoming shipments
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining practitioner schedules
- Greeting and signing in patients when they enter the clinic
- Managing billing to patients and their insurance companies
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to perform a wide variety of duties
- Proficient in computer and technology use including Microsoft Office, emails, scanners, printers, etc.
Experience and/or education in medical office assistant roles would be preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. We offer a welcoming work environment and opportunity for growth and development. Please note this position requires long periods of being on your feet and some light lifting.
