We are excited to announce a new part-time Night Auditor position and are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team.

About the Role:

The Night Auditor is our overnight specialist and the go-to support for guests during the night. Responsibilities include:

  • Must be able to work on weekends.
  • Providing excellent guest service and assisting with requests.
  • Light property patrol to ensure guest safety and security.
  • Serving as Night Audit Relief, reviewing and balancing hotel income for the 24-hour operating period.
  • Performing standard Front Desk duties including check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
  • Completing administrative and office tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

This is a unique opportunity to combine front desk service excellence with the essential financial accuracy of night audit duties—all while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and balance daily revenue and settlement transactions; perform system End-of-Day processes and prepare accurate business reports.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records, including camera monitoring, daily activity logs, lost & found, and all guest interactions.
  • Assist guests with requests and inquiries, promptly address complaints, and de-escalate challenging situations with professionalism
  • Follow evacuation and emergency procedures while ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety standards and WorkSafe BC regulations.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing TV batteries, testing and treating, minor furniture repairs, and assisting with guest room moves.
  • Enhance the guest experience by being courteous, approachable, professional, and helpful to both guests and team members.
  • Act as Manager on Duty during overnight hours, responding to emergencies in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.

You Are ..

  • Focused, courteous, and energetic when working overnight shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
  • Flexible and dependable, with the ability to work occasional afternoon or morning shifts when required.
  • Dedicated to following all local and corporate policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical skills and a high level of confidentiality.
  • Physically able to lift 40+ lbs as part of regular duties.
  • Passionate about providing exceptional customer care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year Hotel Guest Services is required.
  • Personal transportation would be considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with Opera PMS would be a strong asset.
  • Security Experience would be considered a strong asset.
