Line Cook/Prep Cook

The cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu, and following food health and safety procedures. Cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff and deliver food in a fast-paced environment. Work may include operating a grill, oven, offset smoker, or fryer. Previous experience in a team environment and various cooking methods preferred.
Cook Duties and Responsibilities
· Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stations
· Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
· Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift
· Taking orders from wait staff or computerized system
· Cooking order according to food health and safety standards
· Handling multiple food orders at one time
· Dressing order for presentation
· Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides
· Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner
· Storing all food properly
· Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensils
· Monitoring other cooks and team members
· Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed
Cook Requirements and Qualifications
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
· Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
· Able to quickly memorize complex or multiple orders
· Previous experience as a busboy, washer, waiter, cook, or relevant work experience
· Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more
Cuisinier
Le cuisinier prépare les repas et suit les recettes de l'établissement. - Préparer le four, les ustensiles et le gril
- Prendre les commandes des serveurs ou du système informatisé
- Ordre de cuisson selon les normes d'hygiène et de sécurité alimentaire
- Traitement de plusieurs commandes de nourriture en même temps
- Ordre vestimentaire pour la présentation
- S'assurer que chaque commande de client contient la bonne nourriture et les bons accompagnements
- Livrer la commande de nourriture au personnel d'attente en temps opportun
- Stocker correctement tous les aliments
- Désinfection et nettoyage des postes de travail et des ustensiles
- Surveiller les autres cuisiniers et les membres de l'équipe
- Aider les autres cuisiniers à préparer la nourriture ou aider les autres membres de l'équipe en cas de besoin
Exigences et qualifications des cuisiniers
- Capable de travailler dans un environnement en évolution rapide
- Capable d'effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois, d'établir des priorités et de gérer le temps efficacement
- Travaille bien en équipe et sur des tâches individuelles
- Capable de mémoriser rapidement des commandes complexes ou multiples
- Expérience antérieure en tant que busboy, laveur, serveur, cuisinier ou expérience de travail pertinente
- Physiquement capable de se tenir debout et de bouger pendant toute la durée du quart de travail; capable de se pencher et de s'agenouiller pendant le quart de travail ; capable de soulever jusqu'à 25 livres ou plus
