What You'll Be Doing

The National Estates Department manages estate-related matters, including account settlements, escalations, and compliance, while supporting clients and their representatives through an emotional and challenging time. As an Estate Specialist, you will be providing end-to-end support for Estate settlement and play an integral role in our clients' estate journey. This role requires knowledge of all banking products (i.e., deposit accounts, investments, lending, mortgages, etc.). This role requires speaking with retail partners and will require to speak to clients directly therefore empathy plays a key role in having those sensitive conversations. How You'll Succeed

  • Collaborative & Strong Communicator - Work collaboratively with Banking Centre employees and support Executors and estate beneficiaries on all aspects of the estate of a deceased client. Comfortable with phone conversations and phone etiquette.
  • Client-Focused - Escalate to banking Centre employees all issues that may impact the ongoing client relationship. Ability to empathize and deliver status updates on Estate matters to our Clients.
  • System Savvy - Able to navigate many varied systems and is technically savvy. Examples of systems used in this role: COINS, ECIF, ICBS, CRS, PESA
  • Knowledge of products - an asset if you are familiar with any Simplii products; bank accounts; credit cards; lending; investments; mortgages, etc.
  • Multi-Tasker - experienced with multi-tasking and working in fast-paced, often-changing environment. Experience working in a team where processes and procedures are changing and updating.
  • Detail Oriented - Complete all necessary activities related to the processing of all parts of an estate. Act as the Subject Matter Expert on dealing with the estate of a client and the various product requirements to settle the deceased client's estate
